Happy 2nd Birthday Thompson!

Wow...has 2 years flown by super fast. Our little baby T has grown up so fast.

From the moment he woke up, he knew it was HIS birthday! He would grin from ear to ear every time someone said "happy birthday" and he went around saying "two" to all the Manifolds. After being in Auburn all week, Thompson and I came home Friday evening (barely getting the Pitzer's to the airport on time). Clark and I wanted to do a little something for Thompson on his real birthday and at this time he has super excited about it being "thoson's bhurda" He enjoyed his candles and cupcake which was key to Clark and I as he had just fallen on the steps outside and cut his chin...so birthday was a PERFECT distraction!
The firetruck birthday was planned weeks ago for Sunday, October 4th, from 3-5 and the Triangle Park.
HOWEVER...30 minutes prior to party time, the rain started to come down...and down...and down. SO, we scurried quickly to move a pile of moving boxes to the back of the house and set up the party at our house. It was a bit chaotic, but in the end all was good...and Thompson had a great time (as you can tell by the pics below)!

birthday for Jude.
Birthday for Jude...and Thompson's first"birthday" party where he understood what was going on...Thompson had a BLAST!
Jude is all about Spiderman...so of course Gigi wanted Jude to have a Spiderman birthday, with a cake and pinata, costumes, and more. Thompson had so much fun and it was the perfect opening for Thompson's birthday the following week!!
Beach trip with the Bailey's
I am a little late getting pics up from our beach trip last weekend, oops. The trip was planned for earlier in the summer, but due to Moxii's crazyness, we had to reschedule several times. The Bailey's are so wonderful to treat us every summer to a weekend or longer at the beach. Its something that we look forward to and enjoy so very much. As I am now 26 weeks prego, you will not find ANY pics of me a swimsuit, but of this little guy, well, that's another story. I love beach pics (not in khakis and jeans or all white) but the simple sand and ocean and all its beauty in contrast with the beautiful features of children. Perhaps its the innocence that the pictures bring. Perhaps its the memories that come with the pics.
My Thompson loved the ocean! He was not afraid, or even a bit timid around it. He loved to stand by it and let the waves crawl on his toes. He loved to go out in the waves with Nina, or Daddy.
We all had a great time and look forward to going back next summer with baby # 2 too!
